Grass baskets were traditionally used for storage.  Now they're works of art handmade by Alaska Native women.

Nunivak Island women are, in my opinion, the most talented grass basket craftswomen in Alaska.  The purple grass seen on some grass baskets below are naturally colored and harvested by Islanders from their secret locations

   Simply beautiful

My Grandmother's final unfinished basket.  I've chosen to honor her work and use this particular basket as my logo in advertising.
